Marionette, also known as Mari, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the Micronauts. Her first appearance was in Micronauts #4 (February 1979).
Mari is a synthetic being, a bio-android created by the Old One on the Microverse world of Homeworld. She was initially designed to be a tool for his nefarious plans, but gained sentience and rebelled against her programming.
She possesses a human-like appearance and personality. Over the course of her adventures with the Micronauts, Mari develops strong relationships with her teammates, especially Arcturus Rann.
